Hi, I'm Chris W Bernard
It was a dream come true when I moved to Central Oregon back in 1993! Fresh out of college with a degree in psychology, I spent my first ten years working for a local non-profit and enjoying our outdoor playground. In 1996, my wife and I purchased land and built our first house on a tight budget. That entire process was rewarding, stress-free, and fulfilling!
That purchase and construction project developed my love for how real estate interacts with our lives in such a significant way. It is the foundation of our lives, the base camp from where we live.
In 2003 that interest led me to shift my career into real estate, and I began working at a small local brokerage in Sisters, OR. My college education and non-profit work were oriented around investing in the lives of others, and from my own house project, I had a picture of how that could benefit others in a full-time real estate career.
Just like it was with my own experience, I work hard to ensure that whether you are a buyer or seller in the real estate market, your experience is a positive, stress-free, and enjoyable one.
It’s the trust built with clients that have allowed me to work in every area and segment of the Central Oregon real estate market and the other regions of the state. It’s the trust that has built a business on referrals.
If you’re still reading this, I think we should connect. Give me a call, shoot me a text, send me an email, or find me on social media! I look forward to the connection and would be honored to have a small place in your story.
Looking forward to seeing you around town, on the trails, at the river, and up on the mountain!
Maybe I’m a little old-fashioned, but don’t you agree that we all want a professional that goes above and beyond what is expected? Where the professional you’re working with treats you like a close friend, family member, or VIP? Or even as if it were their own investment? I know I sure do! And that is what drives my business.
The heart of my business are the stories of connections with clients who have become friends and neighbors over the years. My connection with clients is always as unique as each of my clients.
One of the unique and memorable occasions was having a client ask me to officiate a formal renewal of their wedding vows!
Here are a few messages from long-time clients in their own words:
“Chris has been our realtor for multiple transactions, both buying & selling, over the last 10 yrs. “Inviting, Discreet, Savvy & Professional” aren’t just tag lines…we could also add – he delivers! ….”
“…Chris is professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and a great person to work with.”
“It has been our pleasure to work with such an efficient, effective, detail-oriented true professional. You earned our trust time and again over the years.”
“You have done it again, and we can’t thank you enough! This is our 4th transaction with you, and you make it so seamless every time. Your attention to detail, thorough observations, quick responses, and follow-through are all on point. Because you go the extra mile, we have complete confidence and peace of mind.”

Frankly, he handled my transactions as though they were his own personal investments and thus I was at peace knowing that even the aspects and details I didn't know of and should be pursued would be knowledgably anticipated, and coverred... and were: every time! He takes his work and client advocacy personally which reveals what kind of a person Chris is. He is my realtor for life! read less
When it came to the quality of investment of the houses themselves, he was honest! I can't tell you how grateful I am for this! He built his own home years ago here in Central Oregon and knows what materials hold up against the intense sun and wind outside. He would crawl around as much as was proper for an agent to get the most information for a property and was direct in letting us know what things would need more attention or not. When we asked for his opinion on a home, he gave us truthful answers- good or bad. It made me feel secure in our home shopping as I knew he would let us know as much as he could about a home, even if that meant he wasn't getting the sale yet. Chris is a rare gem in the real estate industry. No one better in the area. read less
